PRO - Community Orchestra in Seattle

About Us:

The Phinney Ridge Orchestra is a community orchestra in Seattle founded in 2011. We are dedicated to playing orchestral music of all styles. Our missionis  to provide amateur musicians with lifelong learning opportunities and  the pleasure of playing to improve musicianship and performance skill.  To educate and enrich the community by providing cultural awareness  through the symphonic repertoire.


We meet at the Phinney Neighborhood Association in Greenwood and perform three concerts a year.


Currently the PRO is seeking strings, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and french horn.

*Members should ideally be able to play at least at a high school level. (Suzuki Book 3 or 4)


Rehearsal Information:

Time: Wednesday 7:00-9pm, September 12th - December 1st

Location: The Phinney Neighborhood Asscotiation, Room 36

Audition Requirements:

The audition process is informal. In order to pick music that is appropriate to the groups skill level we have to hear you play.

Tuition:

The cost is $190 a term.


The orchestra dues cover room rental, concert hall rental, purchasing of music and stands, website cost, refreshments, and paying for soloists.
